The Space Shuttle Endeavour’s final flight last week is reported to be one of the most photographed flights of all time. The spacecraft was flown on a specially designed Boeing 747 from Kennedy Space Center in Florida to Los Angeles International Airport for its “Endeavour farewell tour.”
The flight also cruised over the cities of New Orleans, Houston and San Francisco creating photo-ops for professionals and amateurs along the way. Digital Globe’s satellite even captured images as Endeavour flew over White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, which was later highlighted in the Google Earth Blog. We figured, rather than talk your ears off about all the brilliant images released why not share our favorites from each city Endeavour entertained. Enjoy.
