Guns N’ Roses and Neil Young? This years’ Bridge School Benefit Lineup
Every October, folks in the Bay Area look forward to The Bridge School Benefit held annually at the Shoreline Amphitheater. Our favorite Canadian, Neil Young and his wife, Pegi, organize the charity concert, which is held over two nights. It is a mostly acoustic evening, which in its’ past, has always featured an impressive line-up of friends and fellow musicians. All proceeds directly benefit the efforts of the Bridge School, an incredible not-for-profit organization. Their mission: to assist children with severe speech and physical impairments and their families not be sidelined by their circumstance and through the use of augmentative & alternative means of communication and assistive technology applications, guide in their active immersion into their communities.
This year’s 26th Annual Bridge School Benefit Concert will be held on Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, the 21st and offers a solid, if not eclectic line-up. There to lend a hand: Jack White, Guns N’ Roses (surprisingly), The Flaming Lips, Lucinda Williams, Sarah McLachlan, Foster the People, Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers, K.D. Lang and the Siss Boom Bang and Gary Clark Jr.
Tickets go on-sale Friday, September 14th.
