This is where a rustic life meets the stylish contemporary. A sheep farm on North Bruny Island, an island off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania, was designed by the Melbourne team at John Wardle Architects. The Shearers Quarters combines a modern aesthetic with the feel of a rural farm, while using slender angles to provide functionality and movement of the sheep.
Also, as you can see in the rest of the photos, the living spaces of the farm house are quite comfortable and effortlessly natural looking, without being too austere. We wouldn’t mind being sheep farmers for a day or two, if these are the sort of digs we could come back to at the end of the day.
