Facebook’s First Commercial

Chairs are like facebook. That is the theme of Facebook‘s first commercial. The idea of chairs being the way in which we sit down and connect with each other on a personal level is what the commercial is all about. Okay, you’re probably asking yourself why Facebook needs a commercial, surely everyone on planet Earth knows what Facebook is.

However, Facebook has never created an art-driven connection of what it is to be a human being on this planet, and have the ability to stay in touch through technology…until now.

Facebook takes the idea of what a chair means in this world, and gives it resonance as the means in which people come together.  As a multi-billion dollar company, Facebook’s first commercial is a good step in humanizing the condition we find ourselves in every single minute of every day.  Connecting with people.
