The Flat centers around the death of writer/director Arnon Goldfinger’s Grandmother. She lived in the same apartment for seventy years after she and her husband left Nazi Germany in the 1930s and immigrated to Israel. After her passing, Arnon is faced with the task of removing her belongings and soon finds that there is a lot that he doesn’t know about his family. The film was Israel’s highest grossing documentary and won the country’s best documentary award. It’s now playing in select U.S. cities.
